    Awesome Poi Video

Post  peter on Wed Mar 03, 2010 1:09 am

That video's pretty amazing. He sometimes spins them like clubs, so I suppose you could combine poi and juggling too? His special poi look pretty simple to make.

I already have poi which you can throw around - I'm just not very good at it!

Also you can get torch poi which are juggling clubs with poi handles on the ends.

That style of poi does look cool!

    Experimental juggling equipment

Post  Stephen on Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:01 am

I've been looking around and I've found something interesting! This website: http://www.renegadesignlab.com/index.html designs and makes experimental juggling equipment. I mention it because they have juggling clubs with flat heads that can balance perfectly and also quite thick juggling rings (12mm) which could easily be used on the wind.

Also I found this website which is quite cool:

    http://jugglingprops.wordpress.com

lots of unusual juggle and manipulation.

I liked the russian juggler too, in the 'Balls on a string' video. They look quite like the special poi.

The flat head clubs are $30.00 each
    Fat rings are $10.00 each

It might be easier to buy cheap rings and just tape them togther.

    I found another cool link!

    http://www.semlyen.net/cosmosjugglers/lib/contents.htm

This is an entire online book for club spinning. I thought it might be interesting.
